Have you tried to lose weight again and again, but you do not succeed and do not know what may be making your diet fail. Have you thought about the bread and other products made with refined flour? Well this could be the key. Read on and discover how to prevent the bread from becoming the destroyer of your attempt to lose those extra pounds.

Bread is one of the members that are generally not needed at the family table, so that even traditionally has symbolized not only the food itself, but also to work. “He went out to get bread” … “That does not lack bread” … “Being on bread and water” … and “The day our daily bread” are some of the phrases that give evidence of this.

However, with the passage of time and change of societies, the bread is leaving the privileged to become a temptation almost ungovernable, that can derail any attempt to maintain a healthy diet.

The main current concerns on health issues include obesity and diabetes, caused by a sedentary lifestyle and a diet based on fat, sugar and carbohydrates (or carbohydrate). This is where the bread begins to leave the table healthy. Why? Because it is a major source of carbohydrates.

Carbohydrates or carbs are one of the most important nutrients the body needs, and which become energy for the organs to fulfill their functions properly, especially the brain and nervous system. Are classified as simple or complex, as the chemical structure of the food and the rapidity with which is digested and absorbed sugar.

Simple carbohydrates have one or two sugars. For example, fructose found in fruits, lactose and galactose that are found in milk (milk and its derivatives), and maltose containing certain vegetables and beer.
Complex carbohydrates, however, have three or more sugars and foods are often called “starchy.” This is where our friend the bread and cereals, as well as legumes and starchy vegetables, among other foods.

The problem with carbs is that if you consume too much can cause overweight or obese and eventually may also contribute to development of diabetes, although not all are equal or harmful. When you choose, always select the products made of whole grains as refined foods like white flour (which is made with bread and white pasta, for example), sugar and white rice, lack of vitamins and other important nutrients (unless they are marked “enriched”).

So what is healthiest to get carbohydrates, vitamins and other nutrients in the most natural way possible, for example, from fruit instead of table sugar, and whole grains, ie they retain their shell. Why? Because the shell accumulate nutrients cereal. Then, whole grains will provide you with more vitamins, minerals and fiber than white bread or other products made with refined flour. However, both can bring you many calories, so it is important to pay attention to the amount and do not overdo the recommended daily serving, if you want your diet to collapse.

In fact, studies show that people who follow a diet low in calories and include whole grains such as whole wheat bread, were more successful than those who ate only refined grains like white bread and rice. And research showed that those who carry this type of diet had better long term and able to maintain their desired weight when they took the diet and ate some bread when completely abandoned him.

So should you leave the bread completely? Not necessary. In fact, carbohydrates are very important to the diet. However, remember that most foods, even fruits and vegetables, have some carbs, so it is important to limit the amount of bread and refined products, like pasta, pizza and everything that includes masses.
And if you want to know more, here are some recommendations for you to choose the most appropriate bread to maintain health and shape:

- This is already what you have said but it bears repeating: selects products with whole grains as the first ingredient, such as whole wheat bread or oatmeal.
- Reduces daily servings of bread and increases the consumption of fiber and whole grains, for example, legumes (like beans (beans), peas (peas, peas) and lentils).
- When you go shopping, not only things easier by color. Grain products tend to be darker than white bread, but many manufacturers may add coloring. Therefore, it is best to always check the labels.
- Always choose products that provide at least three grams of fiber per serving.

In addition to these tips, remember to eat fruits and vegetables and always accompany your diet with an exercise routine. Thus you may find it easier to reach the desired weight and maintain it and, above all, improve your health and reach a better quality of life.

Benfotiamine is a derivative of vitamin B1 is metabolized in the body after being absorbed quickly and completely through the digestive tract. Being lipophilic, its absorption and bioavailability are higher than those of vitamin B1.

Benfotiamine is more potent than thiamine (vitamin B1) with a very specific structure that allows it to cross cell membranes easily. Therefore, benfotiamine is absorbed much better (5 to 25 times more) than thiamine and remains in the body for much longer.

Benfotiamine is therefore used to overcome the traditional deficiencies of vitamin B1 with much more effectively than thiamine itself.

However, its main interest lies in another aspect: Benfotiamine is an extraordinary inhibitor of the formation of advanced glycation end products (“AGE” Advanced Glycation Endproducts English). Indeed, benfotiamine can triple the concentration of endogenous enzyme that degrades transketolase “AGE” transforming them into harmless compounds.

This advance is especially important for diabetics whose nerves, blood vessels, eyes and kidneys are the primary goal of the “AGE” regular decision allowed benfotiamine improve significantly their quality of life as demonstrated by several controlled studies.

Benfotiamine is a remarkable inhibitor of the “AGE”, not only successfully tested in vitro and on animals but also humans.

Benfotiamine may also, as well as carnosine or lipoic acid, belong to the arsenal of those who want to avoid the inevitable browning of tissues.
Glycation (caramelization of cells) is, in effect, along with oxidation, the second fundamental mechanism of biochemical degradation associated with aging, but can eliminate compounds are less numerous and less well known.

Benfotiamine is used as a source of vitamin B1 deficiency states or for the treatment of neuritis in which vitamin B1 seems to have some beneficial effect.

The appropriate dose of benfotiamine may be different for each person. Usual adult oral dosage: 100 mg / day may be increased to 300 mg/day.

Contraindications
There are no contraindications to the use of this preparation, which can be used in all physiological or pathological circumstances, including pregnancy.

The adverse effects of benfotiamine are usually mild and transient. If gastritis be administered after meals. Benfotiamine excess can cause severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic shock). Do not use if allergic to benfotiamine. If you experience any allergic reaction stop taking this medication and tell your doctor or pharmacist immediately.

The cinnamon is an evergreen tree of the laurel family of double-branched aromatic bark. Your tree comes from southern India and Sri Lanka, although it appears cultivated in many warm places in the world. His best-known species is obtained precisely in this Indian tree.

Cinnamon has carminative properties, ulcer, stomach and antivomitivas, thanks to essential oils that contain certain properties that dissolve better food, stimulate saliva and gastric juices, facilitating digestion. For this, it helps fight aerophagia, acidity difficult digestion and stimulates appetite in cases of absence.

Properties are also known respiratory disease for its rich antibacterial, expectorant and anti-inflammatory and is especially indicated against bronchitis, colds and coughs.

Other properties are the treatment of poor peripheral circulation in the fingers and toes, as it improves circulation and increases body temperature, thus improving the conditions of patients suffering from the fingers when it’s cold . Also have seen their profits in difficult periods as an antiseptic in diseases related to bacteria and fungi, also in vaginal infections in the treatment of fungi and bacteria in respiratory infections like tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, mouth ulcers and even can help fight bad breath, for its aromatic properties.

Despite all this, it is recommended never to abandon conventional treatment prescribed by the training, which we must never forget. Although you can always enjoy the aromatic taste of this kind in your tea, as the spice cinnamon is essential to flavor tea.

According to a new study by researchers at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Michigan, a compound derived from broccoli may help prevent or treat breast cancer by attacking the cancer stem cells (a small number of cells that stimulate the growth of tumors).

The study tested sulforaphane, a component of broccoli, both in mice and cell cultures. The researchers found that sulforaphane was heading towards cancer stem cells and eliminated, preventing the development of new tumors.

In the present study, the researchers used mice with breast cancer were injected with various concentrations of sulforaphane in broccoli extract form. The researchers used, then several established methods to assess the number of cancer stem cells in tumors.

These measurements showed a marked decrease in the population of cancer stem cells after treatment with sulforaphane, with little effect on normal cells. In addition, cancer cells from mice treated with sulforaphane were unable to generate new tumors. The researchers tested, then the sulforaphane in cell cultures of human breast cancer in the lab, finding similar decreases in the number of cancer stem cells.

Current chemotherapies are not effective against cancer stem cells, which are the cause of the cancer will grow and spread. Researchers believe that the elimination of cancer stem cells is key to controlling cancer.

A group of scientists has shown that an extract present in the spice turmeric can kill cancer cells.

It has long been believed that this chemical called curcumin, has healing powers and is already being tested as a treatment for arthritis and even dementia.

Now, evidence of a team of scientists at the Cork Cancer Research Centre show that can destroy cancer cells in the laboratory throat.
According to experts, the results published in the British Journal of Cancer could help doctors find new treatments.

Dr. Sharon McKenna and his team observed that curcumin started to eliminate cancer cells within 24 hours.

The cells also began to digest each other, then that curcumin activates lethal signs of cell death.

According to Dr. McKenna: “Scientists have long known that some natural compounds have the potential to treat damaged cells that have become cancerous and we suspected that curcumin might have therapeutic value.”

Dr Lesley Walker, director of cancer information at Cancer Research UK, said: “This is interesting research which opens the possibility that naturally occurring chemicals in turmeric may lead to new cancer treatment esophagus.

“The rates of esophageal cancer have increased by more than half since the 70′s and this is believed to be associated with increased rates of obesity, alcohol consumption and reflux disease, so it is important also find ways to prevent this disease. “

The results of a recent study add to the body of evidence that coffee protects against cancer, in this case of cancer of the head and neck.

The full results of the study were published online in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, a journal of the American Association for Cancer Research.

Using data from a pooled analysis of nine studies collected by the consortium inhanced (International Head and Neck Cancer Epidemiology), participants classified as habitual coffee drinkers, ie those who drank four cups of coffee a day or more, showed 39% lower risk of developing cancer of the pharynx and combined oral cavity, compared with nondrinkers.

Data on decaffeinated coffee were too few to allow for a detailed analysis, but did not indicate an increased risk. Tea consumption was not associated with risk of head and neck cancer.

The association is stronger among regular coffee drinkers (those consuming more than four cups of coffee a day).

Recently, the results of another study published in the January issue of Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention showed a decreased risk of glioma or brain tumors, associated with coffee. According to researchers at Imperial College London, this association was observed between those who drank five or more cups of coffee or tea a day.

How to protect against cancer that produces barbecue

A study by the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory has shown that the grid produces a number of carcinogens in meat. One class of these cancer-causing compounds known as heterocyclic amines (HA) is developed by the effect of heat on amino acids and creatinine in the flesh. In general, the longer the meat is cooked at higher temperatures and more heterocyclic amines are produced. Grilling is the most harmful, followed by fried, while steamed, baked or grilled will produce less HA.

Here are some tips to reduce your intake of HA, based on work by Jim Felton, Garrett Keating and Mark Knize, the research program of the UC-Davis Cancer Center:
- Before roasting the meat on the grill, cook in the microwave part and discard the remaining juice into the bowl. The fact precook a hamburger for a few minutes in the microwave removes up to 95% of the HA.
- Flip burgers often. Flip the burger once per minute reduces the formation of HA up to 100%, probably because the meat is maintained within a lower temperature.
- Marinate meat before grilling. A laboratory study showed that Livermore 40 minutes to marinate the chicken with a mixture of brown sugar, olive oil, cider vinegar, garlic, mustard, lemon juice and salt reduces the formation of HA between u 92 and 99%.
- Use a meat thermometer. Cook poultry to a temperature of 74 ° -82 ° C, ground beef, pork and lamb between 71 ° -76 ° and roasts and steaks between 63 ° -71 °. Do not cook the meat “well past”.
- Take cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale and brussels sprouts, one or two days before the barbecue. Each contains a series of compounds that activate an enzyme in our body to neutralize the toxicity of the HA.

Walnuts: Walnuts contain high amounts of antioxidants, some researchers say they can combat the damage caused by free radicals from our body into the DNA of brain cells.

Carrots have long known that carrots are good for the eyes and now they are also good for the brain. Contain high levels of a compound called luteolin, according to a study published in 2010 in the journal Nutrition, may reduce memory loss and age-related inflammation in the brain. Olive oil, peppers and celery are also rich in luteolin.

Berries: According to various studies might be a good idea to add some berries to the diet rich in vitamins if you want to improve memory. People who eat blueberries also have shown a reduction in symptoms of depression.

Fish: Although recent research has shown that consuming fish oil supplements may not help slow cognitive decline in people with Alzheimer’s disease, other studies have shown that eating fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids it could help slow cognitive decline typically occurs with age. According to a study published in 2010 in the journal Neurology, the fish with a high content of vitamin B12 may also help protect against Alzheimer’s.

Coffee and Tea: Coffee and tea do more than keep us awake in the morning, there are studies that suggest that taken in moderation as long consumption of tea and coffee can also help prevent cancer of the brain, prevent strokes, prevent Alzheimer disease and improve cognitive function.

Spinach, green leafy vegetables are full of vitamins C and E, as indicated by studies that help to improve cognitive abilities.

In a recent medical study found that intense exercise develops large quantities of this substance, scarcely present in depressed people. All these data confirm that produces phenylethylamine antidepressant and normalizing effect of humor.

Food, therefore, can also help combat moodiness, melancholy, irritability. Having little serotonin, which is found in foods such as cabbage, potatoes, milk, bananas, whole grains, can cause mood swings, difficulty sleeping.

This substance has a relaxing effect that, at night, promotes sleep when transformed into melatonin.

Norepinephrine, contained in red meat, spinach, pineapple and very similar to adrenaline, induces very active behavior, depression and stimulating away energy.

To summarize, I quote the nine foods that improve your mood:

Milk: Dairy products contain whey protein, which can reduce physical responses to stress, improve mood and enhance memory. If milk upsets your digestive system, must be taken not to drink too much. One option is to try skim milk.

Oily fish: We’re talking about salmon, mackerel and sardines. These fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, and studies have established a connection between low levels of omega-3 and depression.

Strawberries: Strawberries contain soluble fiber, which help slow the digestion process, which can, in turn, maintain blood levels of sugar stable and help you feel less irritable.

Spinach: Spinach is a great source of folic acid and vitamin known as folate. Clinical studies have linked a deficiency of folic acid to depression, partly because little folic acid leads to lower levels of serotonin in the brain, which may help to stabilize mood. Other foods that contain folic acid include sunflower seeds, green leafy vegetables, broccoli, wheat germ, oatmeal, peas, lentils, soybeans and mustard.

Sweet Potatoes: Take carbohydrates raises serotonin levels.

Brazil nuts: One Brazil nut will give you all the selenium you need to elevate your mood. Additional sources of selenium are tuna, whole grains and swordfish.

Low-Fat Yogurt: Yogurt is a good source of protein, which can help sustain the humor delaying carbohydrate absorption into the bloodstream. Other sources of protein are meat, eggs and cheese.

Caffeine is not a food, but in moderate amounts enhances the physical and mental functioning. Remember that drinking too much can affect the nerves or a headache. It is suggested to take one or two cups of coffee or tea, and especially before lunch.

Curd is a rich source of vitamin B12. As folic acid, decreased levels of B12 have been linked to depression. You can get B12 in clams and oysters.

Food is, from time immemorial, a source of energy and survival but may also have other purposes.

According to the book written by nutritionist Susan Kleiner “The good moon diet” (diet of good humor), consumption of three servings of dairy a day are supplied to the brain the fuel it needs to stay awake and focused.

According to Kleiner, dairy products are rich in the amino acid tryptophan, which increases levels of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that regulates mood. For people who have to endure stress and suffer from headaches, Kleiner also recommends the provision of a small handful of nuts a day. In general, nuts are often rich in magnesium, known to reduce headaches and are a good stress reliever.

If you suffer from midday energy slumps, you have to try high-fiber plant foods.

The humor depends, among other factors, foreign elements and difficult to control. Just get up after a bad night, little sleep or the excesses of the previous day or the morning sky is gray and oppressive for that day to one day be fighting “dogs” in the office, family feuds or clashes with our partner.

Mood, negative or positive, is conditioned by exogenous environmental factors and mental well internalized but fundamentally, it is our brain that activates moods.

The states of unhappiness or their opposites, of euphoria, also depend on the activation of chemical substances, mainly of two types: excitatory and inhibitory.

The main particles are exciting adrenaline, noradrenaline and serotonin, whereas dopamine and phenylethylamine are of the inhibitor and can negatively influence the perception of life.

For example, candy, those things that get fat, have a positive effect on mood because the sugars in contact with the tongue, stimulates the brain to give way to substance endorphins, entering the body, produce a sense diffuse welfare. In addition, the chocolate in small doses causes the intake of phenylethylamine, which returns euphoria and good humor.
